This boy was an only child. The boy’s father was a painter. His mother was a chronic heart patient. Her husband used to spend most of his money for his wife’s treatment, but she did not recover. Many times he had to miss work to take her to the hospital. The doctors informed him that she needed open heart surgery and that it would cost about five thousand Indian dollars or she would not survive. He was a poor man.
The child’s mother was a Christian, but because she accepted Christ, her relatives treated her as untouchable and would not visit her in the hospital. Her husband sacrificed all his money, all his energy and all his time to try to save his wife, but she died in the hospital.
Dara’s father began painting again to feed his son. Even though he was a good Christian, Satan was still playing against him. One day while standing on a big ladder, he fell down and died. In a short time, Dara was orphaned. One of our pastor’s took this boy home to care for him.
